Looking at how artists draw inspiration from nature this exhibition of works from the permanent collection will display artwork that celebrates our natural heritage.
Paintings, prints and ceramics by local and international artists celebrate the natural world through depictions of landscapes, flowers and animals. Beautiful landscapes by Ruth Everard-Haden, Andrew Verster, Jenny Crooks and Gladys Mgudlandlu (among others) are on display alongside a 250 year old plant study print series of proteas and a contemporary print series titled Flowers as Images containing brightly colorful plant studies by well-known South African artists including Colin Richards, Hillary Graham and Derek Nxumalo. A selection of ceramics accompanies the prints and paintings. |
