An exhibition opening will be held for the "Through our eyes: Journey to America" exhibition, at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum on 14 November 2019. .
"AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL ART TO BE EXHIBITED IN THE USA”
Local ARTISTS were invited to submit works for this selected exhibition.
Artists selected for this exhibition will have the opportunity to have their works travel to Jacksonville, Florida, USA to be exhibited at the RITZ Theatre and Museum in early 2020.
The deadline for entries was 16:00 on Friday, 1 November 2019 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum at 1 Park Drive Central.

Notification of selection for South African exhibition: 12 November 2019
Collection of work not selected: on 12 or 13 November 2019
Opening function of South African exhibition: 14 November 2019 at 18:00.
Closing date for South African leg of the exhibition: 4 December 2019
Announcement of work selected to travel to America for exhibition: 4 December 2019 at 18:00.
Collection of unsold work and work not selected for American leg: 5 or 6 or 9 December 2019
The American leg of the exhibition is scheduled to take place in February 2020 at the RITZ MUSEUM .
