The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, alongside the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum, hosts the OLLI ArtMove 2026: Art for Rhinos, Support for Rangers launched on the 22 September 2026 at the Art Museum, in support of World Rhino Day.

Celebrating art, conservation and the vital work of rangers protecting our rhino population.

The OLLI ArtMove 2026 exhibition, where creativity meets conservation. The OLLI ArtMove 2026 initiative, highlighed the importance of bringing communities, artists and young people together through art to raise awareness around rhino conservation.

World Rhino Day Art Exhibition:  Discover an inspiring collection of artworks that brings together creativity, conservation and a powerful message of hope for our rhinos and the rangers who protect them.

The Baton of Hope, symbolising the future of rhino conservation, was pieced back together through the creative contributions of learners from The Capstone School, Elsen Academy, Hermitage House Independent School, Kabega Park Primary School and Herbert Hurd Primary School.

Each piece represents a contribution towards a shared message of hope, reminding us that protecting our rhinos and natural heritage is a responsibility we all carry. Together, the pieces complete the picture and carry the hope forward. The exhibition brings together art, education and conservation, reminding us that every contribution can become part of something bigger.

Through partnership, creativity and a shared commitment to conservation, all can help protect our rhinos and natural heritage for generations to come.
