"AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL ART TO BE EXHIBITED IN THE USA”
Local Eastern Cape Artists were invited to submit works for a selected exhibition titled "Through our eyes: Journey to America”. Artworks are for sale.
The exhibition opened at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum on 14 November 2019.
The selectors selected 33 artists works to be included in the exhibition and 42 artworks were chosen for the South African leg of the exhibition. The artworks were on display at the NMM Art Museum from 14 November 2019 to 31 December 2019. All Artists selected for the exhibition will have the opportunity to have their works travel to Jacksonville, Florida, USA to be exhibited at the RITZ Theatre and Museum in February 2020.

Alan Bazil Grobler, Ant Keogh, Ayanda Ngalo, Bethwell Madoda Honi, Cedric Vanderlinden, Dorothy Joan Barnes, Esme Goosen, Graham Jones, Gregory Kerr, Gugulethu Mpuba, Hennie Odendaal, Jonathan Van Der Walt, Kader Abdulla, Khaya Ngcangca, Lookout Sibanda, Lwando Lunika, Makhosandile Molose, Marc Benjamin Pradervand, Megan Poisat, Michael Barry, Michiel Cruywagen, Minka Gabrielle Schoonwinkel, Muzi Sobuza, Mxolisi Dolla Sapeta, Nico Swart, Nicholas Hauser, Pumelela Zonke, Sakumzi Nyendwana, Shirley Yates, Simon Venter, Sipho Foley, Siyavuya Ralo and Ursula Browne.

Collection of work not selected: on 12 or 13 November 2019
Opening function of South African exhibition: 14 November 2019 at 18:00.
Closing date for South African leg of the exhibition: 13 December 2019
Announcement of work selected to travel to America for exhibition: 4 December 2019 at 18:00.
Collection of unsold work and work not selected for American leg: 5 or 6 or 9 December 2019
The American leg of the exhibition is scheduled to take place in February 2020 at the RITZ MUSEUM .
