We take pride in Nelson Mandela Bay's Visual Art Collection and are investing in its development, preservation and celebration. We Welcome Friends to join us in creating a vibrant arts, culture and heritage community in Nelson Mandela Bay.
History
The association of "friends" was founded in 1975 and plays a vital role in supporting the Art Museum.
The Friends of the Art Museum is a PBO, non-profit organization. The Friends purpose is to support the art museum and to purchase artworks for the museum's collection.
By supporting our Art Museum through membership and donations you will help us to buy artworks, develop our learning programmes and improve our exhibitions and services.
Donations
- There are countless ways to support the Art Museum.
- To make a donation please contact us.
- You could fund an educational workshop, fund the transport for schools to visit the Museum, fund an event or fund the opening of exhibitions.
- Corporate giving, business partnerships are welcome. Sponsorship by businesses of Museum events and exhibitions provide an unrivaled context for recognition and visibility.
- Take advantage of membership benefits such as special exhibition invitations, social events and more.
You may help the FRIENDS in the following ways:
- Join the Friends and pay your membership fee
- Volunteer to conduct tours
- Volunteer to conduct art workshops
- Sponsor the refreshments, wine or juice for events or exhibition openings
- Sponsor the transport costs (bus or taxi) for art groups or school learners to visit the museum
- Sponsor lunch and refreshments for groups attending workshops
