Local craft entrepreneurs living and working in Nelson Mandela Bay are invited to submit outstanding city ambassador craft for the 2019 Nelson Mandela Bay City Promotional stall at the IRONMAN Health and Fitness Expo running at the Boardwalk Convention Centre from 4 to 6 April 2019.
We are looking for clothing and craft keepsakes / curios that market Nelson Mandela Bay. Clothing, hats, bags, shoes, accessories, homeware, beadwork are all welcome. Products must retail between R50 to R400.
CRITERIA : Entrants must be over the age of 18 (as of 1 January 2019). Foreign nationals are eligible to enter, as long as they have permanent residency or citizenship.
Selection will take place on 20 March 2019 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum , 1 Park Drive, Central, Port Elizabeth. Proposed designs must be ready for selection and brought to the venue by 9:00. You are to bring your products for the selectors/judges to see on the 20 March.
Selected crafters must be able to make a minimum of 20 replicas of their product by 3 April. Products must be delivered to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum before 12:00 on 3 April 2019.
Nelson Mandela Bay officials will be responsible for the set up and sales of the products at the Ironman expo. A 10% commission will be charged on sales. Crafters will be paid for the work that sold after the expo has come to an end.
